This statement of proposal has been prepared in response to the Government’s desire to minimise barriers to customer switching. Gas Industry Co has undertaken a review of switching arrangements for retail gas customers in New Zealand and has built upon a broad industry acknowledgement of the inefficiency and sub-optimal performance of the current switching arrangements.
