Guidelines for the management of proposed changes to gas governance rules and regulations

Once rules or regulations are in effect, it is likely that proposals for changes will need to be addressed. Changes may be proposed for many reasons including changes in the underlying policy, to accommodate changes in circumstances or to make technical corrections. In order to minimise the costs of the change process and to provide transparency for the industry, guidelines for managing rule changes (and regulation changes) have been developed by Gas Industry Co. Proposed guidelines were published for consultation in November 2008 and the final guidelines, taking account of submissions, approved by the Gas Industry Co Board in December 2008.
